Toyon 71: Dispatches from the Global IntifadaIn this powerful moment of collective resistance, we announce our special issue theme for Toyon 71: “Dispatches from the Global Intifada.” Toyon stands in solidarity with the movement for a free Palestine, and we are seeking submissions that reflect on, report from, and memorialize the struggle against occupation and the liberation of Palestine. We are in awe and empowered by the mobilization of the global community in the face of settler colonial genocide. The movement for a free Palestine is inseparable from Land Back, decolonization, Black Lives Matter, abolition of the prison industrial complex, defunding the police, environmental justice, and so much more. In Volume 71, we hope to draw connections between these various liberatory movements as we dream a world free from oppression.
